Description: Award winning Swedish bladesmith Henry Hildén held nothing back when he created this Swedish folder.
Henry forged the blade from two separate bars of steel, combining a highly complex mosaic Damascus spine with a firecracker pattern edge. The edge bar is forged from CK100 and 15N20 carbon steels, assuring a keen, long lasting edge. The patterns are extremely clear, showing tremendous control and skill. The well centered blade is easily opened using the hand turned Damascus thumb stud.
Fossil walrus ivory has been cross-cut, revealing the dramatic central core. This is surrounded by Damascus front and rear bolsters forged by Henry from 1770 carbon steel along with pure nickel and iron. The resulting ladder pattern Damascus has excellent contrast. Bolsters and ivory scales are set on fully fileworked titanium liners. The interior has been mirror polished. The firecracker pattern Damascus backbar has also been fully fileworked. Exceptional work throughout.
