Description: Award winning Swedish bladesmith Henry Hildén held nothing back when he created this Swedish Bowie. The multi-bar composite Damascus blade is forged from highly complex patterns with a firecracker pattern edge. The edge is forged from CK 100 and 15N20 carbon steels for exceptional edge retention. By incorporating CK 100 and 15N20 carbon steels along with pure nickel and iron into the spine bars, Henry has assured exceptional contrast. The blade shows tremendous control and skill.
The handle is meticulously executed and shows both an artistic eye for design and skilled implementation. The main section of the handle is formed from desert ironwood with exceptional figure and warm tone. Spacers re formed from mammoth rib bone and fossil walrus ivory. Damascus fittings forged from pure nickel and iron finish out the handle.
The fit and finish is extremely well executed.
