Description: Tom's fruit/utility knife is sure to become a favorite in the kitchen. The 4 1/2" blade is perfect for general purpose tasks around the kitchen. The slender blade makes it very useful and versatile from slicing fruit to chopping garlic. The ergonomic handle is designed to give finger clearance over a cutting board.
The blade was forged by Tom using 15N20 and 1080 carbon steels for a keen, long lasting edge. Highly detailed mosaic Damascus patterns were combined by Tom to create a new pattern that he calls Ribbon pattern. The blade has been distal tapered for optimal balance.
The G10 ferrule forms a barrier between the blade and the stabilized buckeye burl handle. The burl has a nice swirling grain that nicely compliments Tom's choice of Damascus. Exceptional work throughout.
