Description: This exceptional folder is the work of South African knifemaker Andre Thorburn. The blade features Damascus forged by bladesmith Ettoré Gianferarri. His patterns are unique and created in very small runs so that the same Damascus is rarely seen on multiple folders. The patterns are exceptional. The bolsters were forged by Joel Davis. This, too, is done in tremendously small runs and so results in a unique knife. The nitre bluing process produces a deep blue toned Damascus with stark silver streaks moving across it.
Desert ironwood scales perfectly fit up to the bolsters. red fiber spacers allow the ironwood to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Blue anodized titanium liners have been fileworked in a tight vine pattern. The thumbstud has been inlaid with pearl. Excellent fit and finish throughout with smooth action.
Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
