Description: This upswept hunter by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives. The saw steel used for the blade was recovered from a lumber mill. This type of steel was developed to withstand the heavy stresses of lumber mills. Raymond has antiqued the surface and has given it a differential heat treatment to assure that the spine is soft and resilient, whereas the edge is hard and will maintain a keen edge.
The wrought iron for the fittings is forged from an 1800s era anchor chain. Axis stag crown forms the handle -- resulting in a very secure hand hole. The crown is finished off with a wrought iron butt cap and loop.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
