Description: This upswept hunter by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives. The saw steel used for the blade was recovered from a lumber mill. This type of steel was developed to withstand the heavy stresses of lumber mills. Raymond has antiqued the surface and has given it a differential heat treatment to assure that the spine is soft and resilient, whereas the edge is hard and will maintain a keen edge.
Antiqued fittings are forged from 1080 carbon steel and continue the timeless feel of this knife. An antiqued deer shin bone provides a sure grip, with the 'knuckle' providing a finish. The handle is finished off with a 1080 carbon steel butt cap and loop.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
