Description: Like its namesake, this Tennessee style Bowie is a graceful example of the style of knife typically produced in the Appalachians and carried west into the teeth of Santa Ana's army by the defenders of the Alamo.
From its forged bronze guard and butt to the fossil mammoth ivory spacer, the hammered blade moves gracefully in a sweeping arc toward the point where two functional sharpened edges merge.
The uncompromising sheath, complete with fringe and a heavy belt loop cedes to an era long gone its modern-day heritage in the form of a single snap on the guard strip. A "must have" for the serious collector!
