Description: Crisp lines and high contrast make up this masterpiece by knifemaker John Fraps. The Mike Norris ladder pattern blade features a boot grind with a false edge on the spine. It is easily opened using the 14k gold thumb stud set with a cut blue sapphire. The bolsters are created from Timascus -- a new material that is quickly hitting the knife market with a vengeance. Created by a group which includes Tom Ferry, Timascus is a very light and durable "Damascus" created by forging together different grades of Titanium. Fileworked and anodized titanium liners are fully fileworked and have been jewel polished on the interior. The highly polished 416 stainless steel spacer is vine fileworked on outside and pattern fileworked on inside. 24K gold plated screws are used throughout. Excellent fit and finish throughout with a well centered blade and smooth action.
