Description: Lonnie's Tomahawks are very traditional in style, yet are brought to a level rarely seen on hawks. The synthetic sinew and pewter on the handle give an excellent grip. The pewter accents are poured directly into wood and then finished. This is among the most highly carved art hawks that Lonnie has made to date and is one of the few pieces that he has created using reconstructed stone, and the effect is excellent. This piece is very sturdy and well weighted. It is rare to see a piece of Damascus so large and well executed, let alone one so spectacular. The head length is 8 1/2" and the cutting edge is 3 7/8". The base of the hammer side has been sculpted and detailed.
Because this hawk will be brought by Lonnie to a show for display in mid May, this knife may be purchased at this time, but is not available for delivery until the third week in May.
