Description: It is particularly exciting to find a maker that is producing such a spectacular level of sole authorship work, but is not yet well known in the United States. This traditional Swedish hunter is among the more spectacular Swedish works that I have seen to date. The composite Damascus blade is forged from two separate bars. The Firecracker pattern edge is forged from ck100 and 15N20 carbon steels, whereas the spine is forged from pure iron and nickel for a very high contrast. Pure iron and nickel was also used to forge the Damascus that creates the butt and guard.
The solid mammoth ivory handle has been scrimshawed for a very dramatic effect. Detail fileworked nickel silver spacers separate the fossil ivory from the Damascus butt cap and guard. Excellent fit and finish throughout
