Description: Won best sword at Knife Expo 1999. It was also featured in Knives Illustrated (June 1999), Blade Magazine (May 2000) and in Knives 2000.
All fittings are hand cast Chinese gold (bronze/brass-like metal). The sword disassembles by removing peg in handle. The hamon, or clay temper line (see alternate image), on this sword is dramatic and a sign of a very good, controlled heat treat, producing a blade that is strong on the spine, and very hard and sharp at the edge. Display stand is made by hand from curly maple.
