Description: This precision made custom boot dagger was made by Ron Gaston around 2002. It has been in a private collection and has been meticulously cared for. It is in new condition and by all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The late Ron Gaston was a long time member of the Knifemakers Guild. He was one of the pioneers of the modern custom knife movement. His knives have been featured in all the major knife magazines and have been sold around the world. Ron's specialty was fixed blade knives. He was well liked throughout the knifemaking community and passed away in 2006.
The blade is hand hollow ground with dramatic lines. Each of the dagger-ground edges culminates in a Spanish notch. The blade is finished with a hand rubbed satin finish.
Tiger coral scales are set on the distal tapered full tang. They are perfectly fit to dovetailed satin finished 416 stainelss steel bolsters.
Exceptional work throughout!
