Description: This Clip Point Hunter is the work of Rocco Chicarilli of Spanaway, Washington. Rocco has been making custom knives for decades and can often be found frequenting knife shows in the Pacific Northwest. He makes working grade knives with excellent fit and finish. This Clip Point Hunter was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances, Rocco could have made it yesterday!
The 3-1/4 inch clip point blade is hand ground and mirror polished CPM-154 stainless steel. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. A hollow grind provides a razor-sharp, easy to maintain cutting edge. Rocco's touchmark is on left side of the blade.
The handle is dyed and stabilized maple burl, set on a distal tapered full tang. Green fiber liners will help the natural wood adjust to humidity and temperature changes. The scales are perfectly fit to satin finished stainless steel bolsters. A braided leather lanyard is included at the rear of the knife for extra retention.
To keep the knife close at hand, a pouch style leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
