Description: Ed Schempp's work has become increasingly difficult to come by over the years -- collectors just don’t tend to let it go from their collections. This exceptional "humpback" hunter is one of the early knives sold from BladeGallery. It has been in a single collection since it first sold from us and is in new condition -- never having been used to cut and never having been sharpened since it was first created.
The blade was pattern welded from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels into an engaging Damascus pattern. Ed was a pioneer in creating integral bolsters on his knives and the Damascus makes the effect particularly dramatic. The handle is nicely rounded and sits comfortably in the hand. A micarta spacer adds excellent contrast. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
