Description: Corbet Sigman, who passed away during the summer of 2006, made spectacular knives. This drop point hunter was made in approximately 1970. The knife was meticulously cared for and has never been sharpened (after being made) or used to cut. It is in new condition.
The drop point blade is hand ground 154CM stainless steel. A hollow grind ensures a keen, easy to maintain edge. Corbet used nickel silver fittings throughout. A central nickel silver medallion states "C.R. SIGMAN *MAKER*". Antique micarta scales are set on a distal tapered tang. Black fiber spacers allow the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
Exceptional work throughout from a legendary, hard-to-find knifemaker!
