Description: This clip point hunter was built by Journeyman Smith Jim Poling. Jim has been making knives for over 40 years. He started with stock removal, but started to forge while in the Air force. He was immediately hooked. Poling earned his JS stamp in 2010.
Poling hand forged the blade from 1075 carbon steel. The blade features an heirloom quality hand rubbed satin finish.
The stabilized curly koa handle is secured with a hand domed 416 stainless steel pin. The wood is heirloom fit to the hand fileworked spacer. This knife is accompanied by a zipper pouch and a tooled leather custom sheath.
Exceptional work throughout!
