Description: The Compadre Folder is made by renowned Texas knifemaker Johnny Stout. Johnny began making knives in 1983 and became a full-time maker in 1992. He is best known for his exquisite linerlock folders, though he also makes lockbacks and autos.
The upswept Persian blade is a tight, controlled Turkish twist, incorporating six separate bars of tightly twisted damascus. The blade is perfectly centered and has silky-smooth action.
Mother of pearl handle scales are set between stainless damascus bolsters. These were meticulously engraved and inlaid with 24k gold by Joe Mason. A running wheat pattern surrounds floral scroll engraving with 24k gold stems. Gold plated screws nicely bring out gold details in front and rear bolsters. Anodized titanium liners are jewel polished on the interior. The damascus backbar is hand fileworked in a twisted rope pattern.
Exceptional work throughout.
