Description: I was very excited when I was introduced to Dan Bidinger at 2019 Blade West in Portland, OR. Though Dan didn't have a table, his work spoke for itself. Bidinger brings a tremendous amount of skill, precision, and design to his knives. Since then, I've followed Bidinger's work, which has continued to excel.
This high performance drop point hunter is sure to become a 'goto' knife in the field.
The blade is formed from high performing AEB-L stainless steel. Many knifemakers and metallurgists feel that AEB-L, with its small crystalline size, tremendous edge stability and toughness, is among the best stainless steels used in knifemaking today. AEB-L was developed for razor blades with a very fine grain structure making it easy to sharpen while maintaining good edge holding capabilities. The flat grind provides very efficient cutting geometry. The spine is nicely rounded for a comfortable grip.
The contoured handle is made from carbon fiber. Between the elegant hand contouring and the perfectly distal tapered tang, this is a tremendously comfortable knife -- you'll have a hard time putting it down. The handle is completed with a lined lanyard hole.
The knife is accompanied by a custom Kydex sheath.
Excellent work throughout!
