Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a sense of design rarely found elsewhere. This highly detailed Swedish Puukko hunting knife brings together Gregor's artistic and design sensibilities with flawless results.
The unique blade was forged and ground by renowned Swedish bladesmith Mattias Styrefors. Mattias borrowed a technique from Japanese knives known as san mai. A central bar of damascus is surrounded by a thin layer of nickel, followed by a layer of 20C carbon steel. The flats feature Styrefors' forge finish. The intricate damascus is revealed at the cutting edge. By combining 20C and 15N20 carbon steels, Styrefors ensures a keen, long lasting edge.
The handle is formed from stabilized spalted applewood. The light toned wood reveals dark spalting lines. The handle is nicely contoured for a comfortable hand-hold.
The knife is accompanied by a single seamed Swedish leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
