Description: This Damascus Slipjoint Bird and Trout by Tobin Hill features a damascus blade forged from carbon steels and beautifully matched amber stag handle scales. Tobin learned to make knives from legendary folder maker Bill Ruple. He is clearly a maker to watch.
The clip point blade is River of Fire damascus forged by renowned Mastersmith Bill Burke. Burke creates some of the most dramatic damascus found anywhere and River of Fire is among his most well known patterns. The dramatic blade will be high performing, holidng a keen, long lasting edge. The backspacer and liners are hand fileworked. The blade opens smoothly with a firm half stop.
Nicely matched mahogany jigged bone handle scales are set against 416 stainless steel bolsters. The right scale is set with a stainless steel escutcheon. Hand domed stainless steel pins are used throughout.
