Description: Finnish knifemaker Erik Nylund skillfully makes knives that would be a highlight of most any collection, yet they are designed for serious use. Nylund is a retired electrical engineer who started making knive in 2003. He strives to make his handmade knives to be both high performance tools and collector's items. He only makes 20 to 30 knives annually, which means that all knives are unique gifts and perfect collector's items.
The high performance 12C27 stainless steel blade features a Scandi grind.
The handle combines reindeer antler with .925 Sterling silver. Black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle features a detailed scorpion scrimshawed into the reindeer antler. The front and rear of the handle are sealed with Sterling silver.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stiched Nordic leather sheath with a textured Sterling silver chape and throat.
Excellent work throughout!
