Description: Renowned Japanese knifemaker Kikuo Matsuda has been grinding blades for over 40 years and is a 5th generation knife grinder. His unique, dramatic grinds are well known throughout the knife industry. He joined his father's knifemaking business at the age of 15 and learned grinding technique from his father. Kikuo's skill at the grinder has become legendary.
Bush craft has gained great popularity over the last few years, both in the US and in Japan. Zozuchi was developed as a collaboration between Matsuda and renowned bushcrafter Satoru Suzuki. Together, they strove to create the best wood carving knife to be found anywhere. The 3-1/2 inch drop point blade is true to task. It was made from OU-31, Kikuo's favorite high performance steel. A convex grind combines strength and durability with precision cutting.
The 4-1/2 inch handle is contoured from camo G-10 set on a full tang. The handle culminates in a notched butt end.
Accompanied by a Kydex sheath with belt clip.
