Description: Renowned Japanese knifemaker Kikuo Matsuda has been grinding blades for over 40 years and is a 5th generation knife grinder. His unique, dramatic grinds are well known throughout the knife industry. Kikuo joined his father's knife grinding studio at 15 years old and learned grinding techniques from his father. Over the years, Kikuo's skill at the grinder has become legendary.
Tsuchinoko is a heavy duty utility blade with a detail-oriented triangular tip. The recurve blade is formed from Kikuo's favorite steel, OU-31 semi-stainless. It features his distinctive disruptive acid finish. A long swedge travels along the spine. The V-grind recurve ensures a clean perfect cut every time. It is sure to get the task done, whether in the wilderness or the urban jungle.
An ergonomically sculpted and hand contoured black canvas micarta grip completes this refined 3 inch blade. The finger choil provides a non-slip grip, even when hands get wet. Adding a paracord lanyard can provide an even stronger grip. This bold design is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a tough, dependable knife in a compact format that will stand up to the rigors of everyday use.
Accompanied by a Kydex sheath.
