Description: Walter Randolph works under the name WR Bladeworks and is well known throughout the industry. His knives are highly desirable by avid knife collectors throughout the world. This Typhos flipper is a prime example of the work he is well known for.
The blade is made from CPM-154 stainless steel and features a meticulous hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. A large choil allows you to choke up for delicate cutting tasks. Randolph's maker mark is shown on the left side of the blade.
The blade runs on bearings with silky smooth action and can be easily deployed using the ambidextrous flipper tab. The flipper tab doubles as a guard to prevent the hand from sliding over the blade. The blade is perfectly centered and no blade play.
The handle is made from bead blasted titanium with a sturdy frame lock. The pivot collar, free floating backbar, and pocket clip are all made from black zirconium. Zirconium is a transitional metal that is primarily mined in South Africa and Australia. It is highly resistant to corrosion and scuffing. The pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
