Description: Journeyman Smith John Parks creates an exceptional knife. Beginning with 5160 round bar, he hand forged this enticing utility knife with an integral guard. This technique shows tremendous skill at the forge and creates a knife with superior integrity and strength.
The blade is differentially heat treated resulting in a long lasting edge with great durability. The antiqued blade features a hand rubbed satin finish, creating a true heirloom feel. The blade culminates with a hand fileworked thumb rest and a Spanish notch.
The stabilized cherry burl handle fits perfectly to the integral bolster. A black fiber spacer between the bolster and handle assists the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
Captivating for the eye and comfortable in the hand, this is a tremendous utility knife -- You won't want to put it down! This knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath.
