Description: carlMichael crafted his first knife at 15 years old. His 30 years of artistry are reflected in this exceptional small Swedish utility knife. From the high performing damascus blade to the beautiful ancient ivory, this is sure to be a focal point of any collection, though it will feel equally at home out in the field.
The damascus blade was forged in Sweden by bladesmith Kent Andersson. The san mai construction provides the beauty of damascus with the performance of a single high performance carbon steel at the cutting edge. The blade provides substantial contrast between the alternating steels. Kent's maker mark is engraved into the right side of the blade.
The handle combines ancient walrus ivory with two smaller sections of woolly mammoth ivory. The beautiful colors in the ivory results from mineral buried near the ivory entering it across millennia. Spacers used throughout will help the ivory adjust to humidity and temperature changes. The contoured handle provides a comfortable and secure grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a traditional single seam leather sheath is included. The belt loop is fastened on a ring that allows the sheath to move out of the way when sitting down.
Exceptional work throughout!
