amazing. When I emailed daniel for his reccomendation he pointed out several key features that realy make a difference. 1: this is the most complete water stone set I have seen. It has everything, even the stone holder is incldued 2: the stones are massive and very wide, making sharpening long blades faster even though you work through many grits of stone 3: the high grit polishing stones and nagura stone really make your edges evil sharp. I have a mini microscope, and after the 8000 grit w/ nagura slurry my edges look like a mirror even under 30x magnification.

While running through all the stones can be time consuming, I have never had a higher quality edge on a blade. They could probably be used for many years before wearing out.

As complete a set as one could imagine. All are large-sized and are a variety of brands.
