Description: This one-off tactical Kwaiken was made by Eugene, OR knifemaker Ben Tendick. Ben is a full time knifemaker and started making knives in 2010.
The upswept blade is formed from CPM 3V. This powdered metallurgical carbon steel provides maximum resistance to breakage and chipping in a high wear-resistant steel. The blade grind is a play on an unokubi (literally translated 'neck of the cormorant') zukuri grind. This traditional Japanese grind uses a false edge to lighten the blade.
The epoxy hardened wrapping (tsuka ito) features a black underwrap and red patinaed copper menuki on the left side.
This tactical utility knife is accompanied by a Tek-lok ready custom Kydex sheath.
