Description: Mastersmith David Lisch has become well known for his bowies and kitchen knives, but before all that he was a blacksmith. This brute de forge Ranch Hand show's David's skill at the forge -- a skillset earned working at the forge for countless thousands of hours. David brings a skill level of forging that few bladesmiths possess.
David forged this utility knife very closely to shape, beginning with a bar of 1080 carbon steel. The blade features a forge finish along the flats and a meticulous hand satin finish in the grinds. His choice of steels, as well as his expert heat treatment, ensures that this is not only a beautiful knife, but also a high performing tool. The finger choil is nicely upset for a very comfortable grip.
The three finger handle is formed from premium sambar stag set on a full tang. Both the blade and tang are distal tapered for a perfect balance.
Excellent work throughout.
