Description: Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley's knives are unique and immediately identifiable. As one of the 'Montana Mafia', he developed liner locks with some of the smoothest action of any folder maker anywhere. He proves that action washers can be just as smooth as with bearings.
The heat blued damascus blade is a perfectly executed twist pattern. The blade has silky smooth action and is perfectly centered. It is easily opened using the heat blued thumb stud which is set with a faceted amethyst.
The scales have a central window frame that shows off presentation grade goldlip mother of pearl. The scales are heat blued and meticulously engraved. The scroll work is particularly dramatic. Screws throughout have been hand fileworked and heat blued. Meticulously hand fileworked 15N20 carbon steel liners are heat blued to a bronze tone and surround the blued twist pattern damascus backbar.
Exceptional!
