Description: Mastersmith Tommy Gann makes an exceptional knife. His sense of design is only matched by his skill of implementation. This slipjoint folder has a tremendous level of fit and finish.
The clip point blade is formed from 52100 carbon steel. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality to the knife. Many knifemakers and users feel that 52100 is among the highest performing steels currently used to make knives. The swooping shape of the clip moves into a long nail nick, making it easy to open the knife. The blade opens with firm, even action and a half stop.
The handle combines stabilized redwood burl with 416 stainless steel bolsters. Both the 416 stainless steel escutcheon and the bolsters are polished. The swirling wood figure has a dramatic red tone that is immediately captivating.
Exceptional work throughout!
