Description: Mastersmith Bill Burke creates knives that are as high performance as a knife can get. Over the last few years he has been creating some exquisite folders and has found a lot of inspiration in slip joints.
This folder was made by Bill as a prototype for a series of knives that he and Journeyman Smith Bruce Barnett plan to make together. This prototype was entirely handmade by Mastersmith Bill Burke and shows off his exquisite work.
The blade is hand satin finished premium CPM154 stainless steel that has been heat treated to Rc 59-60 for optimal edge retention and durability. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it! The blade is perfectly centered with smooth, consistent action and a firm half stop.
Stabilized ringed gidgee (Acacia cambagei) scales are perfectly fit to the 416 front and rear bolsters and are secured with stainless pins.
This is a perfect sized knife for daily carry, though it will feel at home in nearly any collection. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
