Description: Tom Mayo has an excellent reputation and his knives are highly sought after in the custom knife world. The thoughtful design of each piece is indicative of the patience and care that goes into a knife of such high quality. It's clear that Tom invests a great deal of time, effort, and thought into each knife he makes.
The blade is formed from Stellite 6k and is hand rubbed to a satin finish. The grind lines on the blade are perfect. The blade features Tom Mayo's 20th anniversary logo, which he only used on blades made in 2002. Finding this knife made with a Stellite 6K blade is particularly rare. This highly desired, non-ferrous metal has exceptional edge hold far beyond the limits of steel knives.
Tom makes some of the best framelocks around and this TNT Framelock is no exception. It features a framelock constructed from ergonomically contoured, bead blasted 6Al4V titanium. The two stand-off backspacers are also formed from bead blasted titanium. The size ensures it fits very comfortably in either hand or pocket.
This folder has been in a single collection and is in mint condition. The action is exquisite, the lock-up is rock solid, and the blade centering is perfect. It has never been carried or used to cut. By all appearances, Tom could have made it yesterday!
As you would expect, excellent fit and finish throughout!
