Description: Mastersmith David Lisch has become well known for his bowies and kitchen knives, but before all that he developed the Shop Rat. This brute de forge style knife show's David's skill at the forge -- a skillset earned working countless thousands of hours as a blacksmith.
David forges his shop rats very closely to shape. He began this Shop Rat with a bar of his own damascus. The blade and handle feature a forge finish along the flats and reveal the intricate damascus pattern in the grinds. His choice of steels, as well as his skillful heat treatment, ensures that this is not only a beautiful knife, but also a high performing tool. The handle is completed with a looped tail.
Excellent work throughout.
