Description: Mastersmith David Lisch has become well known for his bowies and kitchen knives, but before all that he developed the Shop Rat. This brute de forge style knife show's David's skill at the forge -- a skillset earned working countless thousands of hours as a blacksmith.
David forges his shop rats very closely to shape. The 1080 carbon steel blade and handle feature a forge finish along the flats and move into a satin finished grind. His choice of steel, as well as his skillful heat treatment ensures that this is not only a beautiful, simple knife, but also a high performing tool. The handle is completed with a looped tail. This carbon steel Shop Rat features a heat blued finish and has a slight iridescent quality.
Excellent work throughout.
