Description: To achieve the dramatic effect of the spear head, Kevin bakes the blade in Brownell's baking lacquer and polishes off the high points. The intense contrast compliments the traditional look of the spear shaft. The copper fittings are hammered and textured to recreate a vintage look. The carving and beadwork on the shaft are done by traditional Zulu artist Heavy Thabethe. This spear has great balance and a solid weight in the hand. This is one of the most unusual and outstanding pieces I've been able to offer on BladeGallery.
