Description: Journeyman Smith Bruce Bingenheimer makes an exceptional knife. This knife is designed for outdoor use but will feel at home in virtually any collection.
The blade is forged from Bingenheimer's fossil pattern mosaic damascus -- an entrancing and complicated pattern that mixes bold and fine patterns. The blade is flat ground and is stout at .22 inches thick.
The 416 stainless steel oval guard and spacer are both fileworked and fullered. The handle is made of presentation grade stabilized curly koa wood and offers a lovely multi-grain pattern. It is polished to a luster, but the wood offers a fairly non-slip grip. The handle is shaped and contoured so it fits comfortably. It is completed with an heirloom quality proud fit to the spacer and has a central hand domed pin.
This bowie knife is accompanied by a very nice, dark brown leather sheath, hand-stitched and molded to shape.
A knife capable of heavy duty work, but with a simple beauty and ergonomic feel!
