Description: Shane Taylor's Batwing Fighters have long been among my favorite knife designs. The sleek shape is exceptionally comfortable and maneuverable when held.
Shane began this Batwing Fighter by forging out the two bar composite damascus blade. The spine bar combines carbon steels with nickel for contrast. The bolder edge bar combines 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels, for a keen, long lasting edge. Both the blade and tang have strong distal tapers for optimal balance.
The heat blued mosaic damascus is nicely contrasted by cream toned ancient walrus ivory scales. The handle is nicely carved with finger grooves for a secure grip. Each of the screws has been hand textured and heat blued.
This knife is numbered 1603. Exceptional work throughout!
