Description: Journeyman Smith Josh Fisher is clearly an up and coming maker to watch. As such, it is no surprise that he won Best Utility/Hunter at the 2016 Blade Show in Atlanta. At any show, winning such an award is an honor. Winning this award at Blade is truly momentous.
This small clip point hunter shows JN Fisher's emphasis on creating a high performance use knife. The blade was forged to shape from 1084 carbon steel, ensuring a small crystalline structure to the steel. The 3-1/2 inch blade is a perfect size and shape to get any job done -- small enough to easily be a daily carry, yet big enough for any task.
The thin-profile handle is formed from stabilized buckeye burl set on a full tang. Two pins and a lanyard loop set the scales in place.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath. The knife sets securely deep in the sheath, protecting it from accidental loss while carried.
Nice work throughout!
