Description: Bruce Bingenheimer was introduced to the forge by Mastersmith Ed Caffrey in 2006 and he's been making knives ever since. This Chiron gent's tactical folder shows Bingenheimer's work at its finest.
The blade is formed from Chad Nichols' premium damascus stainless steel for edge retention, high strength, and the toughness that a hard-use knife demands. A slight thumb ramp provides a sure purchase. The blade is easily deployed one-handed using the discreet ambidextrous flipper toggle. The blade rotates on caged bearings, ensuring the knife will maintain super-smooth action throughout its life!
Lightning strike carbon fiber scales rest on bronze anodized liners keeping the knife incredibly light. Extremely rare lightning strike carbon fiber was developed by the military for use in fighter jets. Copper strands are interwoven with the carbon layers. The bolsters ore dovetailed to the lightning strike carbon fiber scales for a perfect fit. Zirconium is a new material to the knifemaking world. It is a transitional metal that is primarily mined in South Africa and Australia. Zirconium is highly resistant to corrosion and scratching. The screws and pivot ring are bronze anodized to match the liners. The stainless damascus pocket clip is mounted for right-handed tip-up carry.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
