Description: South African knifemaker Andre van Heerden is well known for making impeccable precision knives. From lockup to fit and finish, Andre's knives are in a league of their own. This folder shows just how smooth a liner lock can be.
The drop point N690 stainless blade is meticulously hand satin finished in the grinds and mirror polished on the flats which shows off clean, dramatic grind lines. N690 is a super-steel created by Bohler in Austria. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds it. The increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. It is hollow ground for easy maintenance.
The blade is easily opened with a simple flick of the wrist or using flipper mechanism. The blade has silky smooth action, due to the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create smooth action with no blade play.
Black and blue stacked G10 scales provides a sure, comfortable grip. Carbon fiber bolsters complement the G10 colors nicely. Anodized titanium liners and a carbon fiber backbar keep the knife light and fast. It is easy to keep this handmade folder close at hand with the matching G10 pocket clip.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
