Description: This is an exceptional knife by Mastersmith Joe Flournoy. This knife was in a private collection. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances it could have been made yesterday.
The blade was forged to shape from 1084 carbon steel. A convex grind produces precision cutting with lots of strength behind it. A differential heat treatment results in a hard keen edge, with a soft supportive spine. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom appearance.
The mortised tang handle is formed from sheep horn with two Corby rivets.
This knife is designed for a variety of chores. The handle has great ergonomics and the knife's size make it comfortable to wear all day.
