Description: If you spend any time in the kitchen, would like to have a knife that is as attractive as it is useful, and don't want the typical off-the shelf chef's knives, check out this handmade beauty by Jim Arbuckle.
It utilizes a very deep choil (cut-out) for the forefinger to rest in. This makes the knife easy to hold onto even with slippery hands.
The blade is made from 154CM, high carbon stainless steel. It is hardened and triple tempered to Hrc 58-59, then hand rubbed to an heirloom quality satin finish. The spine is nicely rounded for a more comfortable grip. A distal taper to the blade ensures perfect balance.
Presentation grade California buckeye burl scales are set on a distal tapered full tang. The tang features modified bamboo filework filled with black resin. This allows the beauty of filework without the worry of food getting into the recesses.
Exceptional work throughout!
