Description: Shane Taylor's Batwing Fighters have been a hallmark of his career. The sleek shape is exceptionally comfortable and maneuverable when held. This one has a long, extended handle that is both dramatic and fits into a larger hand perfectly.
The W2 carbon steel blade was differentially heat treated using the traditional Japanese clay technique. This method results in a gently undulating transition line called a hamon. The handle is hammer textured for a very dramatic appearance. Subtle skulls float in the texture of the handle -- like spirits floating in the Aether. The blade has a strong distal taper to bring the weight back into the handle. This knife is numbered 1502 (2nd fixed blade of 2015). Exceptional work throughout!
