Blade: Hardened, polished, and heat blued high carbon steel railroad spike
Description: High carbon railroad spikes have served as source material for knifemakers for generations. As the railroads were making their way across the plains, spikes were left behind, many of which contain a high amount of carbon, creating an excellent edge.
Lyle has put an elegant twist into this traditional style of knife with heat-bluing and mirror polishing. It is made from a "Main Line" spike, which has higher carbon than a standard spike and therefore results in superior edge holding. This knife will make a elegant desk accessory for any railroad or knife aficionado. The knife is accompanied by a hardwood display stand.
