Description: Cliff Parker creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. Captivating, detailed images of an extinct woolly mammoth are paired with exhibition grade fossil mammoth ivory scales to make a knife that is stunning in design and executed with flair and poise.
The action is super-smooth and blade perfectly centered. Cliff has created a very sleek profiled liner lock folder with a remarkably slim finish. Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. He spent considerable time over many years testing and experimenting with his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible. This knife, which has a blade slightly over 3-1/2 inches, is an unusually large knife for Cliff. It is exceptional!
With one of the most impressive damascus patterns that I've seen, Cliff created a truly beautiful knife. The blade is formed from random pattern damascus. The bolsters have central damascus images depicting a woolly mammoth in extreme detail - this is the level of control and complexity which has made Cliff famous. Cliff's hallmark, 'CP', is forged into the background along with radials.
The bolsters meet perfectly to the astonishingly beautiful, exhibition grade fossil mammoth ivory scales. The caramel toned ivory has blue veins that are particularly rare and beautiful. The scales are set on fully fileworked, anodized titanium liners. The fit and finish are as good as it gets - stunning work, through and through!
