Description: Bladesmith Gary House is perhaps best known for his highly detailed, controlled Damascus. Here, he has combined a tile of Butterfly pattern mosaic Damascus with a cross-cut section of ancient walrus ivory. The ivory is particularly dramatic, with blue and caramel tones entering the ivory over thousands of years buried in the permafrost. The heat blued damascus combines carbon steels with pure nickel, resulting in purple and blue along with stark silver lines. This is nicely offset by the natural tones in the ancient ivory. Accompanied by nylon storage pouch and 26 in. adjustable Greek leather cord. A dramatic, one-of-a-kind necklace.
