Description: This one-of-a-kind karambit was created by Chris Martin of Phantom Steelworks. Many small features have been added to this knife that not only set it apart visually, but also offer versatility and function.
The handle is comprised of titanium slabs, and has a "Skinwalker" finish carved into a titanium overlay and pocket clip. The titanium not only forms a very solid frame lock, but also culminates in the customary karambit finger hole at the end. The finger hole is carved with aggressive ridges carved around the perimeter, like a gear or cog, thus maximizing the defensive nature of this knife.
The blade steel is CTS-XHP, which is essentially a stainless powder D2 with more rust resistance. The CTS family of alloys offers superior edge retention and surface finish, an ability to be machined to a fine edge, and consistent heat-treatability from lot to lot. There is an oblong hole in the blade for easy ambidextrous one-handed opening. The blade protrudes out at a very different angle than most knives. Instead of pointing straight out from the handle, the blade juts out at about a 70 degree angle from straight. If the knife is held in your fist vertically, the blade sticks straight out. A swell in the handle allows several different comfortable "fist grips". A significant amount of hand carving has been done to the handles and blade. The attached titanium clip is also anodized and has the Skinwalker finish. A very unique, solid, finely made piece perfect for social work.
