Description: Journeyman Smith Bruce Bingenheimer makes an exceptional knife. This knife is designed for outdoor use but will feel at home in virtually any collection.
The blade is forged from Bingenheimer's fossil pattern mosaic damascus -- an entrancing and complicated pattern. The blade is flat ground and is stout at .22 inch thick. The 416 stainless steel oval guard and spacer are both fileworked and fullered. The handle is made of presentation grade stabilized curly koa wood and offers a lovely multi-grain pattern. It is polished to a luster, but the wood offers a fairly non-slip feel. The wood is shaped and contoured so it fits comfortably in the hand. It is completed with an heirloom quality proud fit to the spacer. The handle is completed with a singled domed pin.
This piece is accompanied by a very nice, dark brown leather sheath, hand-stitched and molded to shape. A knife capable of heavy duty work, but with a simple beauty and ergonomic feel.
