Description: This exceptional Dha draws its influence from Eastern and Western styles. The deeply re-curved blade makes it an exceptional cutter. The long clip lightens the blade and results in a perfect swinging motion.
This dramatic recurve fighter was made by Michael prior to becoming a journeyman. It has been in a single collection and has been meticulously cared for. It is in mint condition and has never been used to cut. By all appearances it could have been made yesterday.
Michael forged the long blade by combining bold damascus sides with a 52100 carbon steel core. The result is exceptional edge holding with dramatic damascus steel. By forging the blade to shape, Michael has ensured exceptional strength and beauty. A mar quench during the heat treatment results in optimal edge retention.
The handle combines curly maple with a dyed and stabilized maple burl end cap. The left side of the handle is textured for a secure, comfortable right handed grip. The woods are reflected in the sheath, where curly maple is inlaid into mahogany. Michael's superior woodworking is a hallmark of his style. The woods are meticulously combined -- and even though this knife was completed some time ago, the seams between the woods are still imperceptible. Exceptional work throughout.
